The Paula Radcliffe Athletics Stadium and Pavilion opened in 1937. However, the stadium is now fully modernised.
The recently upgraded 400m outdoor track was completed in March 2009. Following the upgrade 100m and 110m lanes are available on the south side (main straight) and north side (back straight).
The upgrade also consisted of a substantial improvement to the floodlighting, which now allows training for throwing disciplines after dusk.
The Public Address (PA) system was also improved.
