Since forming in 2013 as a ‘Sensational’ tribute to one of Scotland’s finest, one-of-a-kind rock sons and his band, the Sensational Alex Harvey Experience (SAHE) have grown to become one of the most respected tribute bands on the circuit. Further, and with no little honour, they are "the best SAHB tribute band out there" as confirmed by Zal Cleminson.
That they also have the nod from kin of the late, great and sadly missed Alex Harvey (“My dad would have approved" -Alex Harvey Jr.) is another pointer to the combined talents of vocalist Andy Massie, keyboardist David Cowan, guitarist Brian Cartwright, bass player Nelson McFarlane and drummer Chris Killen. (David and Nelson also recorded and toured as members of Zal Cleminson's /Sin Dogs/ and David was also a member of Chris Glen’s ‘The Outfit). All band members are first and foremost SAHB fans who wish to keep the music alive (whilst developing it for a modern audience), and are committed to delivering live shows which include dynamic performances and theatricality associated with SAHB.
