The People's Balearic Disco Tickets

It was the year of 'Italia 90', the third 'Summer of Love' and around the time that the Stone Roses played at Spike Island. A group of good friends used to gather at a small club in Manchester with a new Balearic feel, called 'Spice'. Although Superclub the Hacienda was making dreams come true for people who loved to dance, Spice was very different. My friends and I used to dance to music we never dreamt we would dance to...but we did..because it was an experience all out on its own. Justin Robertson and Greg Fenton were our main hosts, with DJ's such as Andrew Weatherall making guest appearences.

That vibe of 'Spice' was very much in mind when Altiplano was created in 2009. A party where people would go to and still remember how amazing it made them feel years later. A place where people could party on a higher level...or a higher Plain if you like.

Our first party was on 2oth June 2009..weekend of the Summer Solstice at the Contemporary Urban Centre, with guests the Idjut Boys. How very apt! Magical and Electric! It was packed with great music, wonderful vibes and happy people dancing to...well....anything goes

January 2012...

For 2012 and beyond we have joined forces with some very good friends (Harvest Sun and the guys behind the phenomenal 'Trip Festival)

Our new collaboration is known as 'The People'...with our first venture being 'The People's Balearic Disco', with cosmic guests 'Psychemagik' on March 24th
