The Armed Man Tickets

To commemorate the centenary of the end of the First World War, Quire Voices join forces with the renowned Heroes Band to perform Karl Jenkins' masterpiece, 'The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace' alongside special guests Voci Chamber Choir and Spelthorne Choral Society.

The Heroes Band exclusively fundraise for the 'Help for Heroes' charity and we are delighted to support them on this special occasion.

Quire Voices

Quire Voices was formed in 2011 to give opportunities to experienced singers who have pursued other career directions, but who wish to continue singing to a high standard. We are now an auditioned group of approximately twenty-four singers, directed by Sean Bui. We currently perform around three concerts each year, as well as singing at a range of other events, including charity dinners and concerts. We sing music of all genres and relish taking on new challenges.
We warmly welcome applications from singers who wish to join Quire Voices or enquiries for potential performances.

The Heroes Band

The creation of the Heroes Band was the idea of David Vaninetti-Smart, its conductor. In October 2013 David had just completed 10 years as the Director of Music of Farnborough Concert Band of The Royal British Legion, leading it from a small band in to a large nationally well respected concert band, raising funds for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal through concerts etc.It was obvious to him that bands are a useful PR tool to the Royal British Legion by raising much needed funds through musical performances. David thought that it would be a good idea to create a  concert band  to support the Help  for  Heroes charity.
In the Autumn of 2013 David approached the Charity with his suggestion and the rest as they say, 'is history'.
Bryn Parry OBE, CEO and Co-founder of Help for Heroes says, “Help for Heroes is all about ‘doing your bit’ and we are delighted to have to the support of David Smart and his band. The Road to Recovery is a very long and hard path, these are young men and women today but they will grow old. We at H4H want to ensure that they have the support they need for life, they deserve the best and we are doing our best to get it.”
The objective of the concert band is two fold. Firstly, to raise donations for the charity through musical performances and secondly, to bring entertainment and enjoyment to listeners and band supporters.

Voci

Voci is an auditioned chamber choir of twenty to thirty singers brought together by their common love of beautiful music. Formed in 2012 by director Susan Piggott, Voci meets between 8 and 9.30 p.m. on Monday evenings in Windsor. We perform an eclectic mix of choral works from early music and madrigals to close harmony jazz and modern classical pieces, interspersed with solo and small group numbers performed by members of the choir.

Voci is a group of keen amateur singers who aim to achieve high standards of performance. As well as giving several concerts a year in and around Windsor, our future plans include days out to sing elsewhere, performing with other groups of singers and instrumentalists and adding a special Voci sparkle to corporate events, weddings and Christmas parties. We combine having fun with aiming high.

Spelthorne Choral Society

Spelthorne Choral Society is the foremost local choir welcoming members from across the Spelthorne borough, and beyond.

Conducted by Sean Bui, and accompanied by Lindsay Bridgwater, accomplished music professionals, we are an enthusiastic and friendly group of people singing a wide range of music of the highest quality: evergreens and novelties from Baroque to the present day. Rehearsals, including basic voice training, are methodical and at the same time great fun. We enjoy singing alongside professional soloists with a variety of piano, organ and orchestra accompaniment.
