Every so often something quite raw and interesting comes along to the music scene and given the reaction of this 13 year old’s native Scotland, it is perhaps Tallia Storm. Nothing contrived, just a deep soulful signature reminiscent to that from the Motown era, belying her age. The Tallia Storm vocal, with her trademark ‘big hair’ will pull you in all the right directions; for she can belt out strong soulful melodies, with an R&B and jazz groove that simply defies her petite frame. Right now Tallia is working on a number of tracks that she hopes will feature on a debut album.
Over the last 18 months Tallia Storm has performed at a host of high profile events and radio roadshows across the country. From working with Scotland’s biggest radio stations such as Capital FM where she turned on the Christmas lights and sang to an audience of some 6000 people, to radio roadshows with Radio Clyde, her fan base is growing ever stronger. She appeared on the catwalk at London Fashion Week for Autumn/Winter 2012, where she sang live throughout the show to great critical acclaim and has performed live at numerous exclusive fashion parties with Ralph Lauren and Harvey Nichols. She was also delighted to feature in the huge benefit concert for The Variety Club of Great Britain’s ‘Young Variety’ to raise funds for this incredible charity. She was also a celebrity ambassador for the UK’s Jeans for Genes charity alongside many heavyweight names. This month she is celebrating her nomination in Radio Clyde's Scottish Variety Awards, where she has been nominated in the category of 'Best New Scottish Solo Act/Band'.
With more than one string to her bow, she has also secured a voice over part in an animated feature film called ‘Sir Billi’ starring Sir Sean Connery and Alan Cumming. Still at school, Tallia Storm has her feet firmly on the ground, working on her studies and her passion – music!
