Following the huge success of the Classic Manchester Anthems event in June, Northern String Quartet are returning to Manchester Art Gallery and tickets are now on sale for three very special performances taking place on Thursday 21st December 2023.
Northern String Quartet, an award-winning group with 17 years experience, are no stranger to Manchester Art Gallery, playing at weddings and corporate events and they are delighted to once again offer this unique experience, putting a classical twist on some much loved Christmas tunes that you will no doubt be familiar with. We are delighted to also bring you a very special Children’s performance at 3:30pm featuring some much loved seasonal favourites, such as Frosty the Snowman, Jingle Bells and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer
So get yourself in the mood for Christmas and take a trip through the years with some popular Christmas Number 1’s from the 1960’s onwards with the Northern String Quartet in beautiful Manchester Art Gallery where music from the Beatles, Elvis, Queen, Robbie Williams and of course Slade to name just a few is guaranteed to have you singing along! The performances will take place in Gallery 16, where our Lowry and Valette paintings are exhibited with two performances to choose from, the first sy 6:30pm and the second at 8:30pm - so sit down, relax before the madness starts and enjoy this wonderful experience.
