The Big Figures is a proper R&B band in the classic Dr Feelgood mould, featuring BBC 6 Music DJ Mark Radcliffe and his best mate of over thirty years, PJ Walmsley. The illustrious line-up is completed by three more hunks of burning Lancastrian love: 'Go-go' Johnny Jobson (harmonica), Cameron Sweetnam (bass) and Andy Hyams (drums). Feelgood afficionados will know that The Big Figure was the drummer in the original group and that explains the name of this band, rather than any reference to the middle-aged spread experienced by certain members.
