Charity concert featuring a top South African vocal talent aim to raise £30,000 for Cumbria's flood victims.

The events, taking place on Thursday March 17 and Friday 18, see Cape Town singer Lauren-Lee Bock performing at two venues in the town.

A graduate of the Cape Music Institute, she has been performing live across her home nation, and made appearances on regional TV.

The concert will also feature an auction of prestigious donations from local businesses and even Mayor of London Boris Johnson.

Organiser David Gummers, from Ulverston, says: "When I was looking out of my Window in Levens Village at the damage that Storm Desmond has caused. I knew I had to do something to help - while I am not great with a brush and shovel, I do manage a couple of artists, one of whom would be perfect to do a charity concert like this.
