“Fresh-sounding, future-facing, female-fronted” “A lovely vibrant, edgy, unusual kind of sound” Tom Robinson, BBC 6 Music

“Superb alternative-pop song…full of surprises” Rob Lewis / CEO Richer Unsigned

“That is pretty darn tasty” Jim Gellatly / Amazing Radio

KAZE are a “fresh-sounding, future-facing” band from Manchester, fronted by Amy Webber, from Kent and Graham McCusker, from Paisley. The story behind their formation is refreshing - it all started when Graham was diagnosed with Leukaemia in February 2016.

The pair started writing songs during Graham’s 4 months of chemo and still haven’t stopped. Their debut EP, No Filter, compared to the sounds of Bjork, Radiohead and the more experimental side of The Beatles, was released on 10 March 2017 with a sell-out gig at The Castle, Manchester. The name KAZE, means ‘wind’ in Japanese - we’ll let you decide why…

So far the band have received extensive support and airplay from BBC 6 Music’s Tom Robinson and Amazing Radio’s Jim Gellatly. On 3 April, KAZE were selected as ‘Artist of the week’ by the Richer Sounds music blog - Richer Unsigned, who furthermore featured Pinned On You on their ‘Best of May’ playlist. Pinned On You and Come Away were also selected by Liverpool music blogger Ralph’s Life as his ‘Track of the day’. All four tracks from their EP have received national radio airplay.
