ROBOMAGIC PRESENTS
JAMAICA HOUSE 2017 AT INDIGO O2
Commemorating Usain Bolt’s last competitive races at the IAAF games, Robomagic is hosting Jamaica House 2017 at Indigo O2. This unique event will celebrate both the Jamaican way of life and the accomplishments of the nation’s people. It is being produced on behalf of the Jamaican Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport.
Taking place between August 5th and 13th, Jamaica House 2017 will showcase UK Artistes of Jamaican descent, along with Jamaican Artistes old and new, as well as acts from far and wide influenced by Jamaican music. Performances from incredible talent such as Ziggy Marley, Luciano, Nadia Rose, The Skints, OMI and Yungen will be held across the 8 days.
The IAAF World Championships will be screened live on the big screens at the event, so nobody will miss out on the excitement of watching Usain Bolt’s final races. Taking place at the London Stadium, this will be the biggest sporting event to be held in the UK since the 2012 Olympics.
The motto for the Island of Jamaica is ‘Out of many, one’ and this series of shows absolutely highlights the diversity and excitement of the Island’s music scene. Jamaica has traditionally punched above its weight in terms of influence and culture, and these performances at Indigo at The O2 will illustrate just why the island’s musical heritage is still unrivalled.
