Hannah Ashcroft + Sara Wolff + Quincey May Brown Tickets

Hannah Ashcroft

Hailing from somewhere between Manchester and Liverpool, Hannah Ashcroft is a songwriter, musician and producer. Combining offbeat lyrics and memorable melodies, she creates vibrant soundscapes with hues of indie, alternative and folk influences.

With her distinctive voice and deft guitar style, she has attracted the attention of BBC 6 Music’s Tom Robinson and Mary Anne Hobbs, Amazing Radio’s Shell Zenner and Frank Skinner on Absolute Radio. Her releases have also been playlisted by Amazing Radio UK & US.

Her recent ‘HUSK’ EP earned her a place on last year’s Glastonbury Emerging Artist list and attracted the attention of Clash and Lock Magazines, as well as tastemaker blogs Secret Meeting and For the Rabbits.

After busking her way through European cities and along Australian coastlines, she has supported indie favourites BC Camplight and Siobhan Wilson, and recently joined US songwriter Lissie on her UK ‘Carving Canyons’ tour.

Sara Wolf

There’s an old saying “a stitch in time saves nine” and it’s this attention to detail which is woven through Sara Wolff’s songwriting. Her new EP ‘Magic Hour’ (Small Matter Records) marks a shift in her sonic universe after what she calls “a year of sound” and revisiting her native Bergen reshaped the homespun nuggets crafted in her cosy Liverpool abode. Now expanding her pool of people and production skills outside, Sara’s music is present as it pulls from the past, and muses on the weird paradox of time with wide-eyed wonder.

Playing, or rather, experimenting with sound has always been Sara’s superpower in the face of adulting. Following her debut EP When You Left The Room, collaboration and composition has led the way. Lacing a crimson thread through a tapestry of rich arrangements, her mix of alternative folk, rock and art pop has been honed through composition and field recording; performing as a session musician; embarking upon her second UK tour with her band and a trusty 4-track cassette machine, and sharing stages with artists like Fenne Lily, Rozi Plain, Helado Negro and Peter Broderick.

“It’s a criss-crossing journey which sprinkles flavours of Jenny Hval, Tune-yards, Madeline Kenny and Fiona Apple along the way.” Secret Meeting (About Don’t Feed The Birds)

"Emerging from the endless fog and cosy comforts of her winter hibernation, Sara Wolff’s debut EP offers a deeply melodic warmth and beautifully crafted lyrical exploration of humanity’s highs and hollows. For a debut this is some audacious and assured songwriting, perfect in its simplicity and craft." - Now Then Magazine

"The ethereal synths fade into her tender vocal timber with seamless ease creating a cohesive soundscape for the observational lyrics. Coming from Liverpool with tinges of Norwegian cool, Sara Wolff composes elaborate songs between alt-folk and bedroom synth pop." - Nothing But Hope And Passion

"Musically, Sara’s sound is a somewhat angular take on alt-folk, bringing to the mind the likes of Cate Le Bon or Cocorosie with her call-and-response way with melodies, both vocal and instrumental, and her gently disorienting take on a more traditionally straight talking genre. While her music journey is only just beginning, Sara Wolff already feels like an intriguing prospect, one I can’t wait to see develop and grow, the results are already looking hugely exciting." - For The Rabbits

Quincey May Brown

Quincey is a songwriter & multi-instrumentalist based in Manchester, UK.

She draws lyrical influence from the candour and cheekiness of writers such as Stephin Merritt (Magnetic Fields) and Hanif Kureishi

Her harp-led songs and hushed vocal delivery, laced with textural layers of piano and electric guitar, transcend convention in every manner. Tracks from her debut EP ‘What I’ll Say When I See You’ and follow-up single ‘Gut, Inhuman’ have enjoyed airtime on both BBC 6music and Amazing Radio.
