Funny Girl (1968) - Film Screening Tickets

The Alzheimer’s Society & Waterside are proud to present Dementia Friendly Screenings.

The life of Fanny Brice, famed comedienne and entertainer of the early 1900s. We see her rise to fame as a Ziegfeld girl, subsequent career, and her personal life, particularly her relationship with Nick Arnstein.

Dementia Friendly screenings aim to make cinema more accessible to local dementia communities by providing a fun and inclusive experience to enable people living with dementia, their families and carers to attend the cinema in a safe and welcoming environment.

The screenings are enhanced to suit the needs of people living with dementia:

• The lights are left on low, there are no adverts or trailers and the audience is allowed to move around – or sing along to any musical numbers!

• The cinema will be open for half an hour before the screening starts so that people can familiarise themselves with the space.

• There will be a short break halfway through the film for free tea and coffee to be served.

Tickets are £5.00, with a free place for an essential companion if required
