What do Beekeepers, Mermaids, Broccoli and Hobbits have in common? They’ve all been the subject of a Totally Improvised Musical! This brand-new show from the team behind ComedySportz is guaranteed to get your guffawing. Following sold out shows at the Buxton and Edinburgh Fringe Festivals, the team are back at Waterside Arts with another completely unscripted and totally unmissable night out.
With live musical accompaniment the team compose comedy musicals based on titles given by the audience. Scenes, songs and stories are made up on the spot and there may even be some “dancing”. Crafting the characters, composing the music and hitting all the right notes but not necessarily in the right order, this team of award-winning comedians guarantee a night of live music and laughter. Previous show titles have included Frankenstein Joins an Acapella Group, Lawnmowers: The Musical, My Grandma Is a Parasite, Thomas the Tank Engine in Hell and Penguins Don’t Eat Cheese.
