For the third year we are delighted to be presenting the annual concert dedicated to the memory of Brian and Margaret Roper; a concert that encourages future generations to develop their love of classical music.
There is nothing more exciting than a large brass fanfare and this concert is full of them! In a stunning Bath exclusive the Band of the Royal Marines School of Music joins the Bath Philharmonia in Janáček’s astonishing ‘Sinfonietta’ with its 25 brass players, Copland’s iconic Fanfare for the Common Man and Tchaikovsky’s unforgettable celebration of Russia’s 1812 victory over Napoleon. Our sparkling brassy evening is completed by two concertos performed by two of today’s most brilliant young brass soloists.
