If a band releases its EP for free on the internet then that's one thing. To get more than 7000 downloads in the first two weeks and immediate international attention is another. And to get confirmed for a major festival, a UK tour and more even before having a proper CD released is even on another page - but all exactly what Uneven Structure have reached with only their debut EP «8» out.
The French conglomerate now takes polymetric and low-tuned intricate riffs to a whole new level with their debut album Februus, linking mind-boggling brainfood with compelling, appeasing large ambiances to an unique journey for mind and ears. Touring Europe, leaving behind press and audience open-mouthed.
Uneven Structure was formed in may 2008 from the willing of Benoit Friedrich (bass) and Igor Omodei (guitar) to finally bring the music they had been working on for themselves alive.
In early 2009, Aurélien Pereira joined the band and added his own ambient style to the work. As writing started, a third guitar player, Jérôme Colombelli, was added to the line up to allow the band to bring the dense guitar layers to live in its full form.
In December 2009 they released their first EP "8" - without any drummer and with the help from singer Daniel Ädel (Vildhjarta). The EP has obtained great feedback already allowing the band's name to spread on the Internet in January 2010.
