An early eighties tour de-force with soul and funk superstars Tom Browne and Keni Burke.

Tom Browne is an American jazz trumpeter, who rose to prominence due to the significant critical and commercial success of his recordings between 1979 and 1984. Tom re-emerged in 1994, where he released his first in a series of recordings for Hip Bop Records entitled “Mo’ Jamaica Funk.” In 2003, Hip Bop released “The Tom Browne Collection.”

Keni Burke, is an American R&B, soul, funk, and jazz singer, songwriter, record producer, and multi-instrumentalist.

In 1977 he released his self-titled debut album, which featured the songs “Keep on Singing”, “Shuffle”, and “From Me to You”.  Throughout the ’80s and into the ’90s, Burke continued his session and production work for artists such as Peabo Bryson, The O’Jays, The Jones Girls and Keith Sweat.

He has also worked with and contributed instrumentation to songs by a diverse range of artists such as Sly & the Family Stone, Natalie Cole, Billy Preston, Terry Callier, Curtis Mayfield, Bill Withers, Dusty Springfield, Diana Ross, and Gladys Knight.
