State of Quo - one of the longest-established and most popular Status Quo Tribute bands in the UK.
Originally formed by Rhythm Guitarist Paul Carr in the mid-90s, the band has gone through several line-up changes in recent years, but the current line up - together since December 2011 has been hailed by many of the band's long-term supporters as the best to date.
State of Quo are:
Paul Carr - Rhythm Guitar/Vocals
Dave Owen - Drums
Ian Hill - Lead Guitar/Vocals
Andy Marsden - Bass
A typical 2 hour+ State of Quo performance features many tracks from the classic '70s albums that established Status Quo as one of the most popular Rock bands in the world - as well as a few of the countless 'hits' and material from more recent albums such as 'Heavy Traffic' and 'The Party Ain't Over Yet' - all played as faithfully as possible to Status Quo's original recordings and live performances.
Over the years, State of Quo have had a tradition of performing afternoon gigs at venues around the country, prior to concerts by the current Status Quo.
Don't expect to hear the likes of "Rockin' All Over The World" or "In the Army Now" performed at THIS gig!
This gig will be a perfect warm-up for anyone attending the 'Frantic Four Reunion concert - and with Quo fans travelling from all over the UK, Europe and beyond to be at The Apollo, the afternoon event at Academy 3 is the only place to head for!
