Lupa Tom Tickets

Lupa Tom, who burst onto the music scene in 2012 when they won Third Best Act of the night in a four-man battle at the Doncaster Council Open Mic Finals, are quite simply,in the words of Stuart Maconie, "below average".

They write funny songs, with what they think are funny lyrics, and hope they don't get booed.

2013 was difficult. Instead of securing bigger and better gigs as originally planned, the majority of Steve's time (and his solicitor's) was taken with trips to Thailand fighting allegations that he had unwittingly fathered a child to a Thai masseuse whilst on vacation in 2007. Unfortunately this meant the cancellation of several gigs, much to the chagrin of our label, "Steve and Gareth's Imaginary Records". On the plus side, the travelling inspired Steve to write some new material and our set now includes live favourites such as Saving Face and Teenage (Thai) Bride. 

But having paid his solicitor's final invoice and settled with Laila out of court, Lupa Tom are finally ready to return to the live arena and bring pleasure to literally seven or eight people at a small gig in a deserted pub.

Lupa Tom are available for bookings throughout the North West (Europe) and are particularly popular in Manchester, where their close music friends Elbow, I Am Kloot and the Courteeners are based. None of the afore-mentioned are yet aware they are our close acquaintances but who knows, when our debut album (currently being recorded in Gareth's bedroom when his wife is out shopping) sells a million, they may want a pint with us and a beautiful friendship may bloom.
