'Manchester’s Last Chance To Dance are back after a three-year break with a new ep featuring four tracks of utterly vicious tech metal. Like getting attacked by a gang of rabid ninja piranhas that can walk and have lasers for eyes, the songs are searing, crisp and surviving unscathed is utterly impossible. 'Shapeshifter/Destroyer' has the production value; quality and ferocity the band need to build up momentum, so we bet Last Chance To Dance will be making waves very soon.' AK(Rock Sound) 27/04/11
Rythmical schizophrenic intensity is not hard to find but to discover a band that succeeds in making you wince, smile and question in the space of a few minutes is infrequently found. Riffs are rarely used more than once in succession and the jazzy, frenetic movement of the music can be liked to Dillinger Escape Plan or Ion Dissonance if you need a point of reference.
The calibre of support slots the band have been offered could be an indication of what Last Chance To Dance have achieved with no backing: Will Haven, Job For A Cowboy, Bring Me The Horizon, Azriel, Everette, Horse The Band, Eden Maine, 65 Days Of Static, Throwdown, The Final Sigh and Profane have all had the pleasure.
In 2005 the band toured the UK and Ireland with The Final Sigh and in February 2006 toured with Profane.
In 2006 the line-up changed and the music became much more focused and powerful combining massive breakdowns and blastbeats with disjointed timings and textures.
In 2007 they took a well earned break from the music scene.
In December 2010 they decided to come back with a more melodic and thoughtout sound to record a new album of material and play some shows, bringing some much needed aggression back to the music scene.
2011 Watch out!!
