J Felix and Future Dub Orchestra Tickets

Brighton-based DJ, multi-instrumentalist and producer J-Felix joins us in our Haggerston arch alongside Future Dub Orchestra, The musical talent that is the work of songwriter, producer and Musician J.T.

J-Felix, aka Joe Newman was born in Bristol. The multi-instrumentalist cut his teeth in an eclectic range of bands and musical projects, including touring internationally as Alice Russell’s guitarist, as well as having his work licensed to various compilations alongside the likes of DJ Vadim, Ta Ku and Opolopo (to name just a few). He also absorbed a huge array of influences - from A Tribe Called Quest to The Clash to De La Soul; Jimi Hendrix to Snarky Puppy - before deciding the time had come to zoom in on his own sound, releasing his debut album ‘101 Reasons’ on Tru Thoughts in 2015.

Future Dub Orchestra is committed to pushing the musical boundaries to take the music into new directions, and cites influences as diverse as Electronica, Dub, D&B Reggae, and Film Music. From the outset, the ethos has been that the music should form the centre around which a creative collective could grow.
