Fringe@thelittle Tickets

A double-bill of two short modern plays.

Still Lives

From overturned chairs to first kiss, Still Lives tells its tale backwards with dialogue, dance, fruit and face-paint. It hinges on a chance meeting between wheelchair-bound Harriet and lost boy Fred and the dinner she invites him to so he can meet her icy, fragile mother. A raw and tender story of mothers and daughters, boys and girls. Of stasis, motion and sexuality.

 The Regina Monologues

‘Divorced, beheaded, died,

divorced, beheaded, survived…’

Three Catherines, two Annes and a Jane.

Six women with one thing in common – marriage to a man called Henry - have passed into historical legend. Of course, it couldn’t happen these days… Six modern women have also married one man. Their lives are both separate and intertwined as they tell their stories from a room in which they have all once lived. Their experiences are portrayed with humour, pathos and a great deal of wine.
