The Icicle Works were part of Liverpool's early 80's 'neo-psychedlia wave' which also propelled Echo and The Bunnymen and The Teardrop Explodes to stardom.
After scoring a maassive hit with the memorable 'Love is a Wonderful Colour', followed by 'Hollow Horse', 'Understanding Jane' and 'Evangeline', lead singer Ian McNabb went on to pursue a solo career, although a reformed Icicle Works have been performing occasional dates since 2006. These are the first shows for 4 years.
