Emblem3 is made up of:
- Drew Chadwick: vocals, lead guitar
- Wesley Stromberg: vocals, rhythm guitar
- Keaton Stromberg: vocals, bass
They live in Huntington Beach, California. In live shows, they are joined with Kyle Miner (on saxophone) and Kenny Galbraith, (percussion).
The Strombergs and Chadwick grew up in Sequim, Washington, and started writing songs when they were nine, eleven, and twelve years of age. Known then as The American Scholars, they arranged, recorded, and produced their first album Bite Your Lip and Take It in the basement of their home.
Prior to applying to The X Factor, they released singles “Curious”, “Sunset Blvd” and “Reason” with other songs including “True Friends”, “Rip Tide”, “Say What You Mean”, and “Tequila Sunrise”
The three auditioned in San Francisco, California singing an original song called “Sunset Boulevard” written by Drew Chadwick. During bootcamp, they sang “Iris” from the Goo Goo Dolls and in the judges’ home, they performed “Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic” from The Police and were chosen by Simon Cowell as Final 4 in “Groups” category for the live shows, where in their opening performance they sang “One Day” from Matisyahu.
