Celtic Fiddle Festival Tickets

With 3 fiddlers from Ireland, Quebec & Brittany, this band does exactly what it says on the tin – a tour through some of the varied fiddle traditions of the celtic world on both sides of the Atlantic.

One of the greats of the Irish tradition, Kevin Burke is a player of exquisite finesse and well known from Patrick Street & The Bothy Band. Andre Brunet brings the exuberant, uplifting music of Quebec to the party – if you enjoyed Le Vent du Nord last year, of which his brother is a member, you’ll love Andre’s fiddle & foot percussion. Completing the line-up are Christian Lemaitre, who represents Brittany’s rich fiddle tradition, and fellow Breton Nicolas Quemener on guitar, who accompanies the fiddlers throughout the night.

Expect a varied ride throughout the evening as Celtic Fiddle Festival explore the contrasting traditions, nuances, tempos& styles of celtic fiddle music, all culminating is some stunning finale numbers with 3 great fiddlers firing on all cylinders.
