Full Stack PHP Developer
Manchester
The Ticketline Network Ltd are currently recruiting for a talented Full Stack PHP Developer to work alongside the Lead Web Developer and help deliver the best digital journey possible for our customers.
The role includes plenty of greenfield work with some huge projects just getting off the ground as well as some legacy maintenance work.
Key skills required:
- Strong experience working with modern, OOP, PHP
- Strong experience of working with MVC frameworks (Symfony, Laravel, Zend, etc) - Symfony experience being a huge plus
- Experience working with RDBMS such as MySQL/Postgres
- Experience using modern FE Technologies, inclusive of JavaScript, HTML and CSS
- Experience working with git
Nice to have:
- Experience with TDD
- Experience with CI/CD
- Experience with cloud providers – AWS or GCP
- Experience with Docker/Kubernetes
- Experience with NodeJS
- Experience with React
- Experience with modern JS tooling and frameworks, e.g. npm/yarn + React/Vue

Frontend Developer

Software Engineer – 1 x Senior and 1 x Junior

This is an excellent opportunity to join our team working on a brand new development and to stretch your software engineering skills as well as contribute your own ideas and thoughts to the project. As a core member of the team, you will be working closely with the head of software to deliver robust, maintainable software that will need to service peak time loads as well as deliver an unparalleled experience to our clients. Some of the work will involve dissecting legacy systems and bringing them up to a modern micro-service based architecture that is extensible and flexible for expansion. You will be expected to have good engineering practice, and be experienced in delivering well tested production-ready code.
Key skills required:
- Proficient programmer in multiple languages (both compiled and interpreted)
- A good understanding of SOLID
- Experience working with TDD and BDD design and development methodologies.
- Experience with containerisation and virtual machines.
- Unit and integration testing.
- Worked within an agile team before, understands the core tenements of agile.
- Experience with database technologies such as NoSQL, MongoDB
- Is not a scrum-master.
- Team player who isn’t code precious.
- A keen learner who keeps their skills fresh
Nice to have:
- An understanding of micro-services, stateless & server-less architecture.
- Having used technologies such as docker, k8s, redis, rabbitmq, and postgresql would be an advantage
- Understands DevOps: pipelines, integrations and deployments.
- Familiar with hexagonal / onion architecture.
- Familiar with cloud development
- Keen ideas, willing to express themselves.
