York Barbican is managed by SMG (UK) Ltd. SMG is one of the world's largest international venue operators. York Barbican is the latest addition to SMG's expanding UK theatres division, which also includes The Bridgewater Hall in Manchester, the Journal Tyne Theatre in Newcastle and Whitley Bay Playhouse, with Scunthorpe's Plowright Theatre and Baths Hall to follow later in 2011.
Disabled Access & Concessions
Wheelchair spaces and level access seating can be booked subject to availability. Concessions are available for some disabled patrons by contacting the Box Office for more information. There is level access throughout the ground floor and lift access to the upper floor.
Parking & drop-off
When attending a show, customers will be able to pre-pay to park at Q Park which is situated behind YB on Kent Street for the reduced rate of £5. This is the nearest car park. There is no on-street parking. Customers can book their pre-paid parking through the Box Office with their tickets.
Disabled parking - there are 10 spaces at Q-Park available to Blue Badge holders on a first come first served basis but they still pay £5. If there are no Blue Badge spaces left, they will need to park in a regular space.
