Translations Tickets

In a small fictional town in Donegal in 1833 the English soldiers arrive to chart and rename the landscape and in doing so they interrupt the cultural world of Baile Beag and its inhabitants. Translations has been called Brian Friel’s masterpiece as it tackles the cultural and political barriers between England and Ireland. It is a play about language and communication.
