Formed in 2013 with a completed lineup in 2014, THE RECREATION spent their teenage years refining their sound and learning their craft. Their debut single You cemented the band’s status as one of Manchester’s hottest acts, and earned THE REC the title of “the baby Strokes” by BBC Introducing’s Michelle Hussey.
Fast-forward to 2019, and THE REC are selling out hometown shows with their electric live show. Combining sonic guitars, brooding rhythm and stadium-ready choruses, the Oldham 4-piece take their show across the country to the masses who relentlessly party to the tune of THE RECREATION.
THE REC released ENGLISH WEATHER in July 2019, the fourth instalment with the powerhouse production team at EVE Studios in Bredbury including Martin King (Blossoms/Everything Everything) and Jim Spencer (Charlatans/Johnny Marr). This autumn, THE RECREATION take their tunes around the country on their biggest UK tour yet.
