Formerly known as ‘The SoulTrain’ the band have decided to undergo a name change due to the amount of other bands, DJs, soul nights and venues who now all used the same name. “We have had to change our name after many years, it was necessary for the band to maintain our own identity and a name change had become our only option. None of the other Soul Train’s out there concentrate almost exclusively on Northern Soul whereas we have been performing as a Northern Soul band for a good number of years” – Tec Etchells (THE NORTHERN SOULTRAIN keyboard player).
THE NORTHERN SOULTRAIN will be playing live, the very best soul anthems from Wigan Casino, Twisted Wheel and Blackpool Mecca. Great songs by Dobie Gray, Frank Wilson, Al Wilson, Dean Parish, Tony Clarke and many more.
