The Cheshire Gala festival returns to the iconic Gawsworth Hall in Cheshire, on Sunday 9th August 2020 with a line up of award winning 60s tribute acts, artisan food and drink pop ups and exclusive showcases offering a full on 60s festival experience.
Following on from last year’s inaugural event, the festival returns this year with a sixties theme packed full of hits from the decade with tributes of Dusty Springfield, Roy Orbison and the Fab Four performing!
Headlined this year by one of the UK’s Top Tribute bands; The Pretend Beatles will be bringing their live theatre show complete with lavish costumes, authentic instruments and special effects to the Cheshire-based festival. The Pretend Beatles have performed their fun-filled show around the world with a setlist which includes all the hits including; Hard Days Night, Let it Be, All you need is Love, Hey Jude and many more! The renowned tribute band have over 20 years of experience and the band leader; Richard spoke of his excitement ahead of the event; ‘We are really looking forward to bringing Beatlemania to the fab Gawsworth Hall, it’s going to be one big 60s party!’
The line up continues with award winning Dusty Springfield tribute; Maxine Mazumder - famous for her attention to detail, incredible voice and unmistakable Dusty mannerisms which have earned her the title of the UK’s Number One tribute to Dusty Springfield from the National Tribute Awards. Maxine is not only an incredible performer – it’s also obvious to anyone watching her show that she is a huge fan of this legendary icon and painstakingly provides the most perfect recreation possible each and every time.
Her live performances take you on a journey through every classic Dusty hit, including “I Only Want to Be With You”, “You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me” and many more.
Dave Collison’s Roy Orbison completes the headline line up for the Sunday night concert, Collison has been touring the world for over 25 years as the highly popular ‘Pretty Woman’ Hit Singer and will be bringing that Roy Orbison magic to the event.
The headline acts will perform alongside amazing local performers throughout the event in a special outdoor theatre auditorium with the stunning Grade 2 listed Hall and gardens providing the backdrop, the event features artisan food outlets, local bars & alcohol provisions and fabulous boutique showcases and entertainment throughout the day.
