Terrible Sound

The highlight was Getting home early
I am a big fan of the Black Crowes and love the music (listening to the new live recording of Wiser for the Time whilst writing this)
I went to the gig on 24th March 2013 at the Manchester Academy. The Black Crowes themselves didn't do anything wrong but the combination of extremely loud sound and poor balancing made the gig painful.
Drums and bass thundered together and lost the rhythm whilst the guitars/vocals/keys all screeched for the high end indistinguishably.
I have never been so gutted at a gig that I have looked forward to so much, moreso I have never had to walk out on a gig because the sound was intolerable. Be prepared if you want to see the Black Crowes at future gigs!
