    The Bachelors

    The Bachelors

Con & Dec bring an afternoon of musical memories, stories, anecdotes, sing-a-longs with a hint of Irish blarney and more to The Apex!

Originally from Dublin, The Bachelors had eighteen hit records in the UK charts throughout the 1960s and sold millions of records around the world.

In 1964, The Bachelors has more UK top ten records than The Beatles. They enjoyed an amazing 77 weeks in the UK charts compared to The Beatles 50 weeks, and reached No. 1 with 'Diane' and 'I Believe'.

The Bachelors enjoyed great success through the seventies to mid-eighties, but opinions within the group were conflicting. The choice was to continue or to update with modern ideas. Founder members Con & Dec Cluskey, the progressive ones, dismissed John Stokes in 1984.

The Bachelors Con & Dec haver recently appeared in Summer Season at the famous Opera House in Blackpool, and over the last few years have kept themselves busy recording, reaching No. 5 in the Album Charts, and performing on European cruises and theatre and cabaret shows worldwide.

The show opens with a full supporting variety show featuring Gary Birtles & Lorrie Brown. They'll create the feel and atmosphere of an Old Tyme Music Hall, with sing-a-longs and comedy to warm the audience up in readiness for The Bachelors after the interval.
