Nylons, Hershey bars and jitterbugging to Swing Bands in the local village hall, Eastern Angles presents a fascinating and moving wartime story of the arrival of thousands of American GIs in East Anglia.
The racially-segregated 8th US Army Air Force arrived to find villages without electricity, women without husbands, and bars with warm beer. The culture clash produced sparks. This is a tale of friendships forged and broken, and of rural communities turned upside down and divided by discrimination
Celebrating the wartime aviation history of Hatfield, this show will take place in the heart of our community, at Roe Hill Hall.
