Sir Henry At Rawlinson End
Now based in London, actor, writer, raconteur and musician Michael Livesley brings his highly acclaimed stage production of Vivian Stanshall's absurd and disgustingly hilarious "Sir Henry..." to The Studio, Widnes, his hometown.
He says "I didn't originally envisage the show would run for 6 years; that's quite a long time to be hopping around onstage in odd socks and a deerstalker! This is likely to be the last performance, and is a fund-raiser to support a wonderful old venue run for the benefit of the community back where I grew up."
Brainwashing Band members are also from around Widnes and Liverpool, with the exception of Susie Honeyman of The Mekons who frequently guests on violin.
What's next? "Who knows! I'm always writing. The recent Stonefree Festival at the O2 singing and playing with the Bonzos went terrifyingly well, and there's a tour coming up in November so that should keep me off the streets for a while."
