Romeo & Juliet / Midsummer Nights Dream

Following last year's critically acclaimed run, Daniel Taylor Production's immersive rendition of Shakespeare's most magical comedy, a Midsummer Night's Dream, returns. This will play as part of an alternating repertoire with the greatest love story of all time, Romeo & Juliet.

The magical comedy A Midsummer Night's Dream was our first Shakespeare production, receiving rave reviews from arts critics and excellent audience feedback.

During a two-week run next year, audiences will also be able to watch the most tragic romance of all time, Romeo and Juliet.

Cast and creative announcements will be made in the coming months. However, acclaimed Liverpool actor Daniel Taylor will resume the role of director for both plays.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream follows four young Athenian lovers and a group of six actors, whose lives are turned upside down by the powers of fairies and their magic powers. This production is designed to appeal to a young audience and will be of particular interest to GCSE students as the play is currently included in the National Curriculum.

Romeo and Juliet is highly regarded as one of the greatest love stories of all time. Set in Verona, Italy, two young star-crossed lovers are caught in the middle of feuding families with tragic consequences. Heartache and love are at the very essence of this production.
