Rock Bottom Risers have played many sell out gigs across Yorkshire resulting in some amazing feedback and attracting the attention of The BBC Introducing team, with several high profile radio plays already to boot. Within weeks of forming the band won the Woodfest battle of the bands competition sponsored by, and raising money for the Sue Rider cancer charity. This gained the band some great exposure and some excellent regional press.

The band draw influences from a wide range of genres and bands ranging from – 
Bob Dylan, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Band of Skulls, Johnny Cash, Kasabian, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, The Black Keys, Kula Shaker, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin.
