The Red Hot Chili Peppers are a funk rock band based in Hollywood, California and was formed in 1983, in Los Angeles, California.
The band currently consists of founding members Anthony Kiedis (vocals) and Michael “Flea” Balzary (bass) along with longtime member Chad Smith (drums).
Guitarist John Frusciante quietly left the band on good terms in early 2008. On January 2nd 2010 Josh Klinghoffer was announced as Frusciante’s replacement.
The first single from the LP, The Adventures Of Rain Dance Maggie, was recently leaked online but bassist Flea told the BBC they weren’t too bothered by it. “The only thing that I would ever worry about would be if I was lazy or I didn't really take my time in the songwriting process to make the music as good as I thought it could be,” he explained. "That's the only thing I ever fret about because I do have a lazy streak. Anything that happens once the music is done, come what may."
The song was the first single by RHCP in four years following the 2007 release of “Hump De Bump.”
