Oui Love featuring Saycet, St Lô and Acre Tarn Tickets

Oui Love is about exciting French artists touring the UK. Oui Love launched in 2009 with a breakout 12-date tour of the country, showcasing the best up-and-coming French music to UK audiences – and it has since featured the likes of Andrea Balency, Team Ghost, Anoraak and Housse de Racket.

This year’s tour features Saycet. Already established abroad, electronic musician and sound artist Saycet, aka Pierre Lefeuvre, is gathering momentum this side of the channel. He’s been compared to M83, Boards of Canada and Apparat. His third album, Mirage, was released in the UK in March and it’s being followed up a new EP and track Cherries & Memories.

Also performing are St Lô. St Lô are a four-piece featuring three French musicians (from Lorient) and Hanifah Walidah, a militant poetess/MC from New York. After the release in 2014 of their debut album Room 414, produced by Earl Blaize of Antipop Consortium, the group are releasing a new EP, Whatnots, in October that gives full reign to their addictive electro-rap grooves and Walidah’s fearsome energy.

Opening the show are Manchester’s own Acre Tarn. Acre Tarn is the electronic music project from Anna-Louisa Etherington, a singer/producer originally from the Lake District. It is this area of origin that imprints on the music which features swirls of rugged and disjointed beats cut into wide and ghostly soundscapes. Their new EP, Dawn Faces, is released in September.
