World-renowned entertainer Márta Sebestyén will grace the stage in Manchester alongside award-winning musicians Judit Andrejszki and Béla Szerényi Jr. for an exclusive, special edition Góbéfest concert.
Márta Sebestyén’s exceptional talent and distinctive style of authentic Hungarian folk music have earned her international recognition. She has collaborated with artists such as Deep Forest and contributed to the soundtrack of "The English Patient.” She is also a UNESCO artist for Peace.
For the past fifteen years, Márta Sebestyén has been accompanied on stage by the distinguished harpsichordist Judit Andrejszki, a luminary in early music, and a winner of the Franz Liszt Award. Together, they present a captivating fusion of folk and baroque melodies, intertwining centuries-old compositions from the 16th and 17th centuries with modern-day folk traditions.
Through their music, they bridge the gap between the past and present, offering audiences a glimpse into the enduring beauty and significance of Hungarian musical heritage.”
