Hello Friends of Rhumba,
March seems a long time ago yeah? And it seems ages since we all got together for our usual Rhumba group hug? Well, the wait is over and we bring you something special to look forward to….
Summer is sort of here, but the best bit is still to come, so we thought we should meet up again. So… on Saturday 23rd June we’ll return to the Ice Factory in Perth for our Rhumba Summer Session. Lets hope the sun is shining, so we can enjoy one of the longest daylight days of the year!!
But who will join us for some Summer Fun…. That was pretty simple really!! Sooooo many of you told us how much you loved our Birthday Party last year in the form of the dynamic duo: Seb Fontaine and Tall Paul. So we checked their hectic schedules and we’re happy to say they are able to join us, by popular demand. Anyone who witnessed their set last time would admit that it was without doubt one of the best sets ever played at a Rhumba. Well, that’s if you could even get into their room!! Expect nothing less this time, but in a bigger room.
Joining in is a Rhumba newcomer; Rebecca Vasmant. Fresh from her Easter activities at Terminal V and her many appearances at the famous Sub Club, we can’t wait to welcome Rebecca. She has an amazing musical resume and we think she’s going to fit right in.
Also joining us are Glasgow’s own Optimo. It’s fair to say we’ve been keen for these guys to join us and we are delighted that they can make it for their Rhumba debut.
And yet another first for the Rhumba Club will be…. Theo Kottis. Theo is the man of the moment with his recently released first album. He’s been seen at dance floors everywhere and we couldn’t be happier to welcome him.
Add to the mix Groovement plus the fabulous NikNak who have been playing our pre-parties lately and will now join Tom Simpson in the Courtyard. And our Rhumba residents of course…. and we’ve got the makings of a great summer party.
Tickets are also at a very affordable price, £18 (plus a small agent booking fee). As ever, we cannot stress enough how important it will be to buy a ticket soon. The Rhumba always sells out, so do not leave it to late!! Details on buses from Dundee, Fife and Angus will be posted soon.
And to cap what should be an amazing Summer Party, we will also be taking over That Bar on South Street for our Pre-Party, entertaining you prior to the club event. More details on this soon.
