In 2016 the world celebrated the 40th anniversary of one of the greatest masterpieces in the history of music. La Villa Strangiato – The spirit of Rush want to dedicate their new show to this event.
2112 – for those who do not know (well, who doesn’t?)- is the fourth album of Rush and marked the first commercial success of the Canadian band. The album features a side-long suite, with the same title, which tells a story based in a dystopian future. In 2112, the world is controlled by the “Priests of the Temples of Syrinx,” who determine the content of all reading matter, songs, pictures – every facet of life.
With a sense of humor so in perfect Rush-style depicting ourselves as the modern reincarnation of the Solar Federation liberators, we want to tell Rush’s story in our own way, offering to our audience the entire suite, and much more. If you have followed our band in a previous tour, you know you’ll be up for a very rich show!
