An evening with young creatives and Calling the Shots to celebrate new and diverse emerging talent. The evening will include a selected screening of short films by young filmmakers as well an opportunity to hear more about New Creatives South West, a brand new talent development programme for artists aged 16-30.
This programme is produced by Calling the Shots in collaboration with the BBC Arts and Arts Council England. New Creatives are searching for young artists from all backgrounds to give them the chance to produce film, audio and interactive work for BBC platforms like BBC4, iPlayer, Radio 3 and BBC Sounds.
New Creatives provides an exciting opportunity for young artists to develop professional and creative skills and encourages them to push creative boundaries, reach new audiences and reflect their experiences of living in Britain today. Come along and find out how you can get involved and get support for your creative ideas. You don’t need any experience, just an idea and the passion to develop it into a full fledged project!
