MORNING MIDNIGHT Tickets

Striking a balance between intimate and intense, Morning Midnight earmark themselves as an act to watch with new track ‘Hearts A Mess’. Diving head first into heavy themes of depression and isolation, the track showcases a beautiful union of stellar production and dreamy vocals to create an emotional offering.

Speaking on the track, the band state:
“It’s a song that talks about coping with the struggle of doubt and self preservation that come with trying to pursue your dreams. It's me battling internally with the feelings of isolation from the people I care for and questioning if I can go on. Listening to the verses the words might come across as bleak but the chorus intentionally both asks the question and answers it, ending with a feeling of resolution and hope.”

Earlier this year the band had success with their debut track ‘Ancoats Junction’ winning over a generous heap of taste maker press and radio supporting, including XFM and BBC Introducing. “Ancoats Junction’ felt like the moment where we cracked the code,” says Scott. “That’s when we felt we could both exist within the same song and be really proud of the result. I like the idea of having that balance; the songs are strong enough on their own, but Jess’ production brings them to life.”

Morning Midnight is bigger than the sum of the duo’s talents. Scott cites Frightened Rabbit and John Martyn as influences, while Pascale’s production comes straight from the world of hip-hop and electronic music. Eclectic shared interests such as Sylvan Esso, Kanye West and Imogen Heap also inform their distinctive sound.
