Morecambe FC Centenary ROCKS is a 3-day, eclectic, musical extravaganza taking place on 12-14 June 2020 at Morecambe FC's Globe Arena. The event will take place on the pitch, with artists performing on a 25m wide stage which has been graced by the likes of Blondie, Madness, Status Quo, Queen, The Who, Eric Clapton, Ringo Starr, The Charlatans, Happy Mondays, The Drifters, OMD, Human League, Boomtown Rats, The Stranglers, Midge Ure, The Specials, Jennie Bellestar, Paloma Faith, Pussycat Dolls, Bryan Adams, PIL, Katy Perry, Little Mix and many more! The PA System is the same one used for the Dire Straits reunion concert in the USA!
Friday headline is Jools Holland & his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, featuring Gilson Lavis (Squeeze), with special guest Eddi Reader (Fairground Attraction) and guest vocalists Ruby Turner and Louise Marshall, as well as full support including Mick McConnell (Smokie) and the Blue Thunder Brigade.
Saturday headliners include The Pigeon Detectives and local superstars Massive Wagons, with full support featuring the brilliant 'dubby rockers' Jeramiah Ferrari, Fear Records protégés: The France and Gloria, with Jagged Edge and White Ribbons.
Sunday opens with Amber Suns leading into the England v Croatia match on large screen TV, then headlines an incredible Centenary Day celebration with iconic music from PLATINUM - The Live ABBA Tribute Show, The Bohemians (Queen Tribute), Absolute Bowie Band & Meetwood Flac
