Mic Righteous has rapidly become one of the hottest young stars in the U.K hip-hop & grime scene. With over 10 million Youtube hits, an ever-growing online presence and consistently great reviews, Mic has been “Bridging the gap between conscious rap and the pop charts” (Q MAGAZINE) and has been said to possess “the kind of energy a young Plan B used to ooze” (MIXMAG).
Mic Righteous has been performing tirelessly all over England. The past year has alone has seen Mic opening for hip-hop legends The Game, J.Cole and Talib Kweli. He has also warmed for countless U.K acts including Wretch 32, Wiley, K Koke, Lethal B, Devlin and many others. The past two years have also seen Mic collaborating with acts across the whole spectrum of popular music from Hard-Fi, Natty and Cher Lloyd to Eminem signings Royce da 5'9 and Joell Ortiz.
Mic has had some very special guest features on official remix's for 2 of the biggest artist this year, Ed Sheeran’s - Give Me Love and Naughty Boy & Emeli Sande’s ‘Wonder’. Early this year, Mic’s Open Mic EP reached number 1 in the iTunes hip-hop chart. Both singles from the EP, ‘Ghost Town’ and ‘Up All Night’ were playlisted at BBC Radio 1Xtra and have gained support from a host of BBC Radio 1 DJ’s such as Zane Lowe.
Whilst recording his debut album, Mic Righteous is performing across a multitude of high-profile festivals and venues this summer showcasing his emotively driven conscious hip-hop to the masses.
