Jeru The Damaja is one of the undisputed greats of east coast hip-hop. A contemporary of and collaborator with the likes of Guru, Premier, Beatnuts & Pete Rock and a leading light of game-changing hip-hop crew Gang Starr Foundation since it's 1993 inception, he made his name as one of NYC's most adept rappers striking out from the commercialisation of hip-hop culture and has always been a strong advocate for keeping it real.
He continues to maintain a peak level of output, collaborating with artists as diverse as Groove Armada, Polish rapper OSTR and kings of the French old school new wave globetrotters Chinese Man. All of this whilst fulfilling a tour schedule most young rappers could only dream off, playing to packed out audiences across the globe.
