The well-rounded, European born, rapper and producer Jermaine Lamarr Cole, takes on the basketball high school athlete persona (if you will) to paint his stories. He moved from his hometown of North Carolina to New York, where he used University as his stepping stone in the 'Mecca of Hip Hop'. Cole's remarkable journey began with nothing but...a dollar and a dream. During his time at University, J. Cole recorded a track entitled 'Lights Please'. Jay-Z was so impressed by this song when it eventually reached him that he signed J. Cole to his label, Roc Nation.
The North Carolina-bred Cole is touring in support of his fourth album, the Platinum-certified 4 Your Eyez Only, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart in December. Each of its ten tracks has notched a place on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The "4 Your Eyez Only Tour” follows Cole’s 2015 "Forest Hills Drive Tour," which was the highest-selling hip-hop tour of that year.
