It Bites are a band everybody is aware of but it’s the scale of work across the music spectrum that really sets them apart from and makes much more than just another 80’s band. Best known for their hits Calling All the Heroes and Kiss Like Judas It Bites have a loyal global fan base and their last two albums The Tall Ships and Map of the Past have racked up sales of in excess of 20,000 copies each.
It Bites feature original members keyboard player John Beck and drummer Bob Dalton alongside frontman and guitarist John Mitchell. Mitchell is a key UK rock producer having been responsible for production and mixing duties on acts including McFly, YouMeAtSix, Enter Shikari, Kids in Glass Houses and The Blackout amongst others. Mitchell is also John Wetton’s (Asia) touring guitarist and has toured with Martin Barre (Jethro Tull) taking on vocal duties on a number of Jethro Tull songs.
2014 will see the third album to feature Mitchell and the follow up to 2012’s critically acclaimed Map of the past.
