    Hertfordshire Schools' Symphony Orchestra

A Celebration of Modern British Composers

The Hertfordshire Schools’ Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Rufus Frowde, brings together talented young players from

across the county for a programme which, in Britten's centenary year, will celebrate his life through Arvo Part's Cantus in Memoriam Benjamin Britten, and also showcase some

of Malcolm Arnold's best symphonic writing with his Symphony No. 6.

This symphony is lightened with the colours of jazz, a tribute by Arnold to the music of celebrated saxophonist Charlie Parker.
