    Happy Father’s Day

    Happy Father’s Day

Happy Father’s Day is a reflective coming-of-age piece with a comedic edge created by Dani Harris-Walters. A heart-stirring journey that focuses on a vital relationship from an unexpected point of view. With the use of Hip Hop Dance, this engaging solo work navigates through a realm of anecdotal sketches with a fusion of movement, rap, animation and text.

“Happy Father's Day is a fully-fledged theatrical triumph…” - Graham Watts, Chairman of the Critics' Circle: Dance Section

“The material is so good that he doesn’t need to be crude. He doesn’t resort to jokes. It all just flows like his chatting to his best friend.” - David Meed, SeeingDance.com

“His delivery is so natural and witty that the hip hop dance that punctuates and illustrates his seminal chatter feels seamless, an almost inevitable embodiment of a sperm’s excitable, tumbling, slyly sliding journey into blissful union.” - Ka Bradley

“ Harris-Walters hooks us unerringly into his monologue with allusions” - Nicholas Minns

“The piece feels a bit like you’re watching a "cool" version of Sex Ed... Harris-Walters’ performance style is so enthusiastic and infectious that you can’t help but go along with it.” - Pippa Sterk - The Strand: The Arts & Culture Magazine

“An engaging storyteller he encourages the audience to egg him on and indeed we do, urging him on every step of the way whooping and cheering.” - Anna Mortimer, Wonderful News Reviewer.
